![]() ![]() The neck is pretty weird but i love it: fairly fat but with a flat area, like someone took a "thick C" and sanded down the hump. The pickups give me that old Rowe/Dearmond sound that i loved on my Harmony and the build and finish on the guitar itself is awesome. I currently own guitars that range from $600 to $6000 and the Casino 61 Reissue is the best playing and sounding electric i have owned. ![]() I loved that guitar but the neck was a little slim.Ĭlick to expand.I ended up buying a 61 Anniversary Reissue. One thing i do know is the necks are much thicker on both compared to my late-90's MIK Casino. I'm sure there are differences but i wasn't sensitive enough to pick them up. FWIW when i was switching back and forth i would have to check the headstock every few minutes to remind myself which one i was playing. I always plan on just replacing the pickups on any Asian guitar but they sounded great, and very similar to the Elitist. I don't know if they have changed anything but i really liked the neck thickness and the pickups sounded pretty great. I was ready to order a Peerless Songbird for the higher quality but thought i should try out the MIC version and was really impressed. I had just seen Rick Nielsen in the store moments before so i might have been out of it! and certainly i couldn't feel or hear a $900 difference. I couldn't actually tell that much difference between the MIC and the Elitist. ![]() I just played some Elistist and some MIC Casinos. ![]()
